ASR v1 p 591. David Blunt took the horse to Bolton, Canada, he was later sold, owned by Captain Jowett and taken to Kentucky. This is the same original Copperbottom who founded many Saddlebred strains and though he was chestnut or sorrel, many roans came from this family.
